Gail Clayton, DCN, CNS, MS, RPh
Dr. Clayton is a DCN candidate 2019 in Clinical Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She earned an M.S. degree from the University of Bridgeport and is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist. She has had extensive training in Functional Medicine in her graduate studies and is considered an expert at interpreting the complex biomedical patterns in Organic Acid tests.
Prior to her nutrition career, she worked as a Clinical Pharmacist for over 25 years. She became passionate about learning nutrition after exhausting all the pharmaceutical options that conventional medicine had to offer for her own chronic illness. Nutrition was the single most powerful tool that helped her regain her health.
Her focus in all cases is to find the underlying root causes of symptoms, then remove the triggers, decrease inflammation, restore the metabolic pathways and energy production, and repair the systems through targeted nutrient therapies and lifestyle changes.
